Along with all that, if you want to practice Spanish - here are some ideas!
Summer vacation is upon us! This weekend I read a really beautiful list of homework given out by a teacher in Italy. Check it out below.
I hope your summer is full of dancing, books, and joy.

Check out some examples of middle school projects!
7th & 8th grade:
Students came up with a project goal focusing on certain language skills. (See our project folder here.) For example:
6th Grade:
Students chose and researched a person connected to Spanish-speaking culture. (See our project packet here.)
Once you have your information about the person you learned about, your next step is to write a rough draft of your Spanish description! (We used some examples in class, and you have a "cheat sheet" in your packet. Remember that we will be including this information:
Se llama ___________________________________________________.
Nació el _____ de __________ de ________. (Murió el ___ de _____________ de ________.) (Tiene _____ años.) Es de ___________________________________________. Es ____________________________________________. Le gusta _______________________________________.

Please be sure to reach out and ask me for help when you need it during this project - especially when it comes to finding a project goal that is just right for you, your interests, and your language level! Here is an outline of how this will work: You should have already chosen someone to research. If not, go do that now!
You can take notes in your project packet, or online. (Make a copy of the notes template below.) You should be finding out:
Don’t forget to write down your sources! Use reliable sources to learn about the person you have chosen. Make sure you keep track of where you find your information. Plagiarism is serious! Create a Works Cited page using the space in your notes or on a separate sheet of paper. Please use MLA format and be especially careful to keep track where you found information online. Example: Author. Title. Website title. Date published. Web. Date you accessed it. ‹http:// URL HERE›. Here are some research tools:
You will be choosing a person from a Spanish-speaking culture to research, as our last project of the year.
Who will you choose?
Here are some resources to help you practice the tener phrases and conjugation. Check out the resources in the Lesson Path I created below. There are instructions and lessons (both written and as videos), flash cards, quizzes to check your own understanding, and lots of example activities and songs using this vocabulary. Hopefully you will find something that fits with your personal learning style!
