International Pen Pal Project
I spent a year living in Spain, and during my time there I started an international pen pal project between the students I was working with and several schools in Michigan.
Now that I am back in the United States, I still have connections with teachers in Spain, and I have been able to match up many of my classes with pen pals in Spain. This is an exciting way for students to read and write Spanish for authentic purposes, learn about new cultures, and make international connections!
The school system there is a little different, and high school starts in 7th grade. Our 7th and 8th graders write to students in their first years of high school.
